Summer Horse Camp

English Riding

Teen Ranch instructors are trained according to CHA principles, putting the largest emphasis on safety, education & fun. Lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders are offered.

Teen Ranch has very safe and  well-schooled horses to learn on  and develop the rider's skills. Our beginner riders start with the basics of position and control while advanced riders will be challenged to perfect their jumping position, equitation and effectiveness on horseback. 
  • 1 hour mounted lesson
  • 1 hour ground lesson
  • 1 hour optional trail ride each day

Western Riding

For beginner and intermediate riders, the western program offers a safe and secure way to begin their riding career or develop skills. Lesson topics range from learning basic position and control to lateral movement, patterns, games and more! Advanced western lessons are for those with the need for speed! Lessons focus on barrel racing, pole bending, roping and tying. One hour mounted lesson, one hour ground lesson and one hour trail ride each day.

Horse Mania

For the horse crazy kids! This special week is offered only once each summer and is for horse enthusiasts of all levels. Each camper will get their own horse for the week! They will be responsible for feeding, grooming, riding and playing games with their horse! Daily lessons plus a ton of fun activities to fill your day!

Rodeo Camp

Summer 2017 brings the return of Teen Ranch Rodeo Camp for campers who want to advance their skills in horsemanship, sportsmanship and overall western action sport competition. Hosted by an array of Ontario Rodeo champions, coaches and even accredited ProRodeo talent, the curriculum will include the fundamentals and techniques of Roping, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying and Steer Wrestling! Campers will learn to hone their skills from the Ground-Up through the use of new technological advancements of training apparatus, and work their way to competing with livestock. RODEO CAMP week culminates into the RODEO CAMP SHOWDOWN consisting of a fun team-competition, competing and showcasing all of the skills from Rodeo Camp Week. Events will include: Ribbon Roping, Flank-and Tying, Goat Tying, Chute Dogging, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Team Penning/Sorting and Breakaway Roping!

A Roping Association of Ontario and Ontario Rodeo Association champion Steer Wrestler, that has coached several students to high honours in Ontario Rodeo, International Professional Rodeo and more!

John Scully

A Roping Clinician for over two Decades, with a multitude of Ontario Rodeo Association Year-end and Ontario Finals Rodeo Championships, as recent as 4 in the past 7 years.

Intensive Equestrian Training

To register for this program, please send your application video to Corrie Ensom. Your video must show that you are confident, able to safely and confidently jump a small course of at least 6 jumps at 2'6" or higher and that you are able to recognize and change your leads and diagonals without assistance. Once you have been accepted into the program, you may send in your application form.

Looking to improve your success in the show ring?  For the advanced english rider, we offer this intense program geared toward competition in the hunter/jumper ring.  Corrie Ensom, a Master & Clinic Instructor with CHA has had great success showing and coaching on the Schooling, Trillium & A Circuits and is excited to work with you!  Campers will finish the week testing their skills in a competitive horse show held on site (Sunday).

  • Minimum of 2 hours of in tack lessons per day.
  • Minimum of 1 hour out of tack professionalism lesson per day.
